With the name of “Rehmatul-lil-Alameen” Punjab government has started a new 2021 scholarship program for brilliant and Bright students across the provinces.

The program is launched under the direction of the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, to assist the students of all public colleges and universities in Punjab on merit and need.

The CM said that for this scholarship program Rs. 1 billion has been assigned.

The scholarship is awarded based on the SSC results. Students must have completed at least 60 percent of SSC exams in a public sector school and then be admitted to a state college within two years of passing the Matura to qualify for this scholarship. Even students who take up another scholarship are not eligible for the program.

For this scholarship the needs-based applicants household income should be less than or equal to Rs. 25,000 per month, and parents are not allowed to own more than 5 acres of farmland or 5 Marlas Urban Property.

according to the information and eligibility criteria out of 50 percent of needs-based scholarships, a 10 percent quota is reserved for children of government employees.

The selections criterion for merit-based applicants is that applicants must have the highest score in their respective district and that this is verified by the Department of Higher Education (HED). The score would match the dates of the Punjab Examination Boards.

Please note here that the merit of the candidacy is determined by the district / place of residence of the applicant and not by the district / place where they are admitted.
